I started The Lawyer in London with a simple goal: to make legal issues more accessible, understandable, and less intimidating for the people who need advice and support.

As a solicitor, I understand that legal matters often arise at significant moments in people's lives, whether they are planning for the future, protecting their assets, supporting loved ones, or navigating complex personal circumstances. Through my practice at gunnercooke, I provide clear, practical legal advice tailored to each client's individual situation, helping them make informed decisions with confidence.  After all, legal advice should be accessible and understandable, not something that feels as though it was drafted in the Jurassic era!  The Lawyer in London is an extension of that approach. It is a platform where I share legal insights, commentary, and guidance on a range of private client matters, with a particular interest in estate planning, succession, non-traditional family structures, and the legal issues that arise as families and relationships continue to evolve.  I have written extensively on these topics and have been interviewed on matters including estate planning for modern families and ensuring that legal arrangements properly reflect people's personal circumstances and wishes. 

My aim is to break down complex legal concepts into straightforward, practical information that people can genuinely use.  Alongside sharing legal expertise, I am passionate about highlighting the realities of modern family life, including alternative paths to parenthood and life without children. Through conversations, interviews, and shared experiences, I seek to encourage greater understanding of the diverse ways people choose to build their lives and families, hence having a whole section on my website dedicated to the topic.
